Day o' Classic 4: The Sara Kingdom of the Crystal Kroll
Saturday, 31 January 2009 21:18Since picspams seem to be the order of the day, here be a picspam of twenty random things I love about Classic Who. All pics from the Tragical History Tour, some of them I have coloured a bit, cos I like doing that.

Eight and Grace! So pretty and happy!

Classic Who: full of first class millinery. One's outfit in this serial is win, as is the way he acquires it.

Nyssa's princess outfit, complete with tiara. Plus I love the idea that the roundels are for keeping useful things in.

Speaking of Five-era outfits leads inexorably to a Black Orchid picture. Nyssa and Tegan look so pretty! Sarah Sutton really suits the short haircut she wears as Ann Talbot, too.

More costume love: Leela's outfits in Horror of Fang Rock. They're a nice change of pace from the skimpy ones and she looks fab in them.

Yet another costume, this being Romana's idea of Sensible Adventuring Wear. ♥

Rounding off the costume section, further hattery, plus bonus Ben 'n' Polly. Lovely moody shot!

BIG FINISH. This is quite a big random thing that I love to pieces. Podcasts and shiny new companions and great stories. The Veiled Leopard and Eight talking about temporal mechanics whilst wearing a paper hat. BENNY, esp. Life During Wartime, Oh No It Isn't and Just War. "I am the Very Model of a Gallifreyan Buccanneer." Everything about The Kingmaker and The Settling and Caerdroia and Jubilee. The UNIT audios - Emily Chaudhry ftw! The sheer amount of love everyone involved seems to have for what they're doing, it makes me so incredibly happy. (Also, Peter Davison with glasses and Spamalot beard is A+)

"What, precisely, do you do in there?"
"Argue, mainly."

The Brig on his mobile. "This is the best thing I have ever seen on TV!" said The Sister when I showed her Robot. (It got downgraded to the second best thing she had ever seen on TV when she saw the tank at the end of part three, though.)

Zoe and Isobel, so pretty and colourful and femslashy.

Seven fighting off the vampires with faith in his companions. This made me cry the first time I saw it. McCoy plays it perfectly too - the way he goes so still as the vampires break in behind him sends shivers down my spine.

Undercover Harry is undercover.

The Planet of Evil set. It's brilliant and so different to any of Who's other alien planets.

This pic represents The Faceless Ones. I bought the novellisation from the library for about 10p when I was little and I am fairly sure it did strange things to my brain. Hurrah!

Ridiculously dramatic Pertwee era pictures please me. As does The Sea Devils which is love from start to finish.

That bit at the beginning of The Mind Robber when Two and Zoe are gleeing over their cleverness and Jamie has to point out that they are sitting on an ERUPTING VOLCANO and should probably maybe move.

I love this picture: Vicki and Steven lost in the woods, in their cloaks, almost fairytale-ish.

How much fun everyone is having in The Two Doctors, and the way that whenever anyone tells Two and Jamie to put their hands up they put their ENTIRE ARMS up.

Ace in Survival, so determined to pick up and carry on the Doctor's work when she thinks he's dead.
There are so many more things I love, but that took me ages so now I am going to go and watch part two of Galaxy Four.
