Big Finish joy!
Tuesday, 30 September 2008 12:07*happyflail* I have just checked the Big Finish website: they've updated the details for November's release, Forty Five, and it's definitely going to be an Ace 'n' Hex one! Hurrah, ses I. The little blurbs for all the stories look pretty cool too, and I like their idea of getting four authors who haven't written for Big Finish before. But most importantly: ACE AND HEX! A particularly well-timed bit of news, too, as I have just finished listening to the latest McCoy solo release, Kingdom of Silver, which was a little underwhelming. (After I listened to Part 1 it was about a week before I got round to Part 2.) It was fine, there was nothing really wrong with it other than being a bit by-the-numbers, but I kept thinking "this would be much more fun if Ace 'n' Hex were in it. Or Mel! Mel is good too." In the interests of fairness I should add that the one-parter, Keepsake, was excellent. I was a little bit miffed when the extras kept going on about how it was setting up for the new Cyberman series, probably the BF series I am least interested in, but it was still a good story though.
