1. Have just watched The Face of Evil. LEELA LEELA LEELA! :D
- Leeeeela! I love her. I love how she respects the Doctor and likes him but has no time for his shenanigans. I love that she's tough and sexy and unfazed by everything. I love that she's self possessed and confident in her own abilities, so confident that she doesn't mind asking when she doesn't understand something, because she knows it's no shame not to know. I love that she carried the Doctor off at the end. She is marvellous.
- "Well, you wouldn't want to have an unfair advantage, would you?"
"Yes."
"I thought you'd say that."
- Oh, the Doctor was so wonderfully Doctorish in this episode! All the jelly baby bits, and just generally saying the unconventional thing in every given circumstance. ♥
- And the plot was based around consequences of the Doctor's previous visit! Excellent. I wish we saw more stories like that.
- Giant Tom Baker face? RATHER TERRIFYING.
- Wow, all the Sevateem were pretty much naked, weren't they? Leela's outfit looked practically demure next to them.
- Four and Leela's relationship was just so good, all the time, but especially in part one. I was sad that she had to barge her way onto the TARDIS at the end rather than being invited, but I think it did make sense: the Doctor had not only just lost Sarah, he'd lost her without either of them having a choice in the matter and in a way that would have reminded him of what happened to Jamie and Zoe, so I can't blame him for being a little cautious about getting close to someone new.
2. I currently have no hot water, which is a little irritating. Luckily my shower runs on a different system so that still works. Plus all this washing my face in cold water is probably doing wonders for my complexion.
3. My Short Trips books arrived! (Apart from the sold out ones, alas.)Unfortunately it transpires that in all the excitement I accidentally ordered one I already have. Nice going there, self. So would anyone like to buy a copy of Seven Deadly Sins for £5? Or alternatively, swap for one of the Short Trips that I don't have yet, or something else Who-ish, or, well, anything you think I'd like! Gone!
4. And now it is time to watch Lark Rise to Candleford and eat cake.
