mmmmmmmemes
Friday, 9 January 2009 14:01I do love a good meme. Here are two that I have seen upon my friendslist:
The icon one
HOW MANY ICONS DO YOU HAVE: ALL OF THEM. Erm, 110
OUT OF HOW MANY AVAILABLE ICONS SPACES: Yes, 110
IF YOU COULD BUY SPACE FOR MORE, WOULD YOU: Absolutely. I like to think I would pause for a moment's thought first. But I probably wouldn't.
DO YOUR ICONS MAKE A STATEMENT: En masse? I don't think so.
WHAT FANDOM DO YOU HAVE THE MOST ICONS OF: Doctor Who, easily.
AND THE SECOND MOST: Buffy, mostly of Buffy herself.
WHAT SHIP DO YOU HAVE THE MOST ICONS OF: I don't really have any shippy icons, don't know why. Even the Two/Jamie one I picked is more "two people I ship in an icon together" than an actual shippy one.
ARE YOUR ICONS MADE MOSTLY BY OTHER PEOPLE: Nope, about 2/3 are by me.
DO YOU MAKE ICONS: I do indeed. Not so much at the moment as it has been like pulling teeth to make any at the moment. Boo!
ARE THEY ANY GOOD: I am quite proud of some of them.
ANIMATED ICONS ARE: I have no opinions either way. I don't know how to make them. Some of them are nice. Those are my thoughts on animated icons.
*is there a way of discovering this? I have guessed which one I thought it was.
DO THE MEME.

Fandom 2008
Your main fandom of the year? Doctor Who, of course!
Your favourite film watched this year? Probably IRON MAN, but the first two Terminator films and Leon are also strong competitors.
Your favourite book read this year? History 101 by Mags L. Halliday. On the not Doctor Who front, Fingersmith by Sarah Waters was excellent.
Your favourite album or song to listen to this year? Regina Spektor's Begin to Hope, which I got for Christmas last year and have been loving ever since.
Your favourite TV show of the year? In terms of new TV shows, The Middleman, with The Sarah Connor Chronicles a very close runner up, mostly because I tend to like silly things the most.
Your favourite LJ community of the year? Like everyone else, I'm going to go with
calufrax - even though I am waaaayyy behind (oh, skip=180, one day I will vanquish you) I've found lots of great stuff to read there. Plus I got recced myself, which was entirely awesome.
Your best new fandom discovery of the year? Professor Bernice Surprise Summerfield.
Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year? Probably Veronica Mars episode 2x01. I whizzed through season 1 in a blaze of excitement and squee, but had a lot of problems with the first episode of season 2. I do still really like it and it picked up after that, but I don't have the intense love that I did for season 1.
Your TV boyfriend of the year? Only just of this year, Richard Hannay from The 39 Steps. Not least because he was played by Rupert Penry-Jones. *swoons*
Your TV girlfriend of the year? Alex Drake, Ashes to Ashes. She ran over that guy's car in a BIG PINK TANK! ♥
Your biggest squee moment of the year? The Middleman episode with all the Doctor Who references. I actually squealed out loud.
The most missed of your old fandoms? I was never really part of its fandom, but I saw a Firefly/Serenity fanvid this year that made me sad all over again about how short-lived it was. :(
The fandom you haven't tried yet, but want to? Hmm, I don't know, I don't really look at fandoms from afar and wish to be a part of them.
Your biggest fan anticipations for the New Year? The Company of Friends, the Eighth Doctor audio with Benny and Izzy and Fitz and Mary Shelley (though sadly not all in the same story. That might be too much awesome for the world to bear).
