Lovely Festividder, thank you for making me a vid! ♥ I am so excited to see whatever you make, and I hope you have fun making it. :D If you already have an idea, hurray, but if you are looking for more guidance, this is the post for that! But rest assured that whatever vid you make, I will be happy. ♥
Things I like in vids: joy and happiness! (Though critique vids are good too.) Heroes being heroic! Teams and ensembles and found families! Swoopy epicness! Fast actiony stuff! Shipping wise, I'm not a huge shipper, but if you want to make a shippy vid, that's fine: in general I prefer non-canon pairings and like femslash the best and boyslash second best; I also really like OT3s and poly ships. I also really enjoy platonic relationships. I like character studies too, and you basically can't go wrong with any female character in any of these fandoms. :D
Dislikes: love triangles (unless they resolve into OT3s!). Older man/younger woman ships. I'm less into comedy vids, especially ones that do the overly sincere for comic effect thing. I'm not super fond of excessive darkness or cynicism. And I don't think it'll be an issue for any of these fandoms, but I'm not really into gore/horror.
Music: feel free to use whatever you like! The only (weirdly specific) exceptions to this are Big Yellow Taxi (a song I hate for no readily apparent reason, though my father hates it too so it may be genetic) and the Batman song from the Lego Movie. The music I listen to most tends to be female singer songwriter pop/rock/folkish type - Vienna Teng, Dar Williams, Taylor Swift's 1989 - but whatever you think will work for the vid works for me! I enjoy both being exposed to new music via vids and seeing vids to songs I already love.
Outside source: feel free to use this if you'd like, or not if you wouldn't! I do like fandoms that have a lot of history/legacy to them, so playing with that is always fine by me. I've put some more specific details on the fandoms where it seemed relevant (basically superheroes), just skip those bits if you don't want to use any outside source.
Here are some more thoughts on the fandoms I've requested. I love all these fandoms and would love a vid in any of them, so please don't be put off if I've said more about some than others! (I've also linked to some vaguely relevant Dreamwidth/Tumblr tags, in case you want to go and look at them.)
Batgirl (2000-2006) [Still Image]
CASSSSS ♥ ♥ ♥ I love her so much. I love her compassion and her sincerity, her dedication and her sneaky sense of humour, and the little moments when you can see the teenage girl in her. ♥ This is a really long run with multiple art styles, so if you want to focus on just a bit of it, that's fine - I particularly love the early stuff (especially the Shiva storyline) and the Bludhaven section (Kicking Assassins was my first introduction to Cass), but whatever you like best is fine! (Er, full disclosure, I have not actually read the War Games tie in issues, because War Games, but do feel free to use them if you want to!) I love her mentor/parental relationships with Barbara and Bruce, and what we see of her relationships with Alfred and Dick. Ship-wise, Cass/Steph is my OTP (and if you want to vid them and are looking for a song, I recommend this fanmix, which![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
lady_mercury10 made for me a few years ago) and I also really like Cass/Brenda. I like both those relationships as friendships too! And I don't ship it, but I do enjoy her camaraderie with Tim.
If you want to use stuff from outside this run, please don't use any post-Flashpoint stuff (except Convergence: Batgirl), but otherwise it's all fine! I haven't read most of the No Man's Land comics, but I have read the novelisation so am basically au fait with that storyline. For post-Batgirl stuff, I tend to pretend the Cass-goes-evil stuff didn't happen, but if you have an idea that uses it, that's fine. In theory I am v. pro Cass deciding she's outgrown Batgirl and passing it onto Steph, for all that the execution left something to be desired, so if you wanted do something that reclaimed that storyline, that would be great! If you want to make a vid about how badly Cass has been treated, I would definitely be on board, but with the caveat that Steph and her Batgirl run are really important to me, so would rather not see her/it put down to make the point. Oh, and if you wanted to do some kind of Cass-centric Batgirl legacy thing, I would be 10000000% here for that.

The Batman (2004) [TV]
I really love this show's take on Bruce - the way he's young and earnest, and he really wants to help, and sometimes he messes up, and also he makes terrible jokes - so anything focussing on that side of him would be great. (I also love his wee grumpy Batface. :D) Or something about Ellen Yin (♥ELLEN♥) and her journey, or about Ethan, or Barbara... basically you can't go wrong with anyone heroic. Shipping-wise, I really like Bruce/Ethan/Ellen (that hug in "Meltdown"! ♥♥♥), but otherwise don't really ship anything. Femslash is probably a good call though. I really love all the platonic relationships on the show, though, and anything ensemble-y about the heroes would be awesome, whether it's everyone or a smaller group. (I'm not really into the villains, though I'm fairly fond of Selina and could easily be persuaded to ship Pam/Barbara.) My favourite episode is "Artifacts", because I love the idea of legacy in superhero franchises, so something about that episode would be awesome. (NB if you're doing something legacy-focused I am 100000% OK with you using the Discowing stuff from "The Metal Face of Comedy" as if he were actual Nightwing and not just a video game character. :D)
Outside source-wise, I've seen bits and pieces of the rest of DC's animated stuff, but I'm familiar with at least the basic premise of most of it, so feel free to use what you like (oh, wait, except please not the version of Batman from The Lego Movie!). Comics-wise, please don't use anything from the post-Flashpoint/post-reboot/new-52/whatever we're calling it at the moment universe, and if you're using comics source for a Barbara vid, I'd prefer the focus of the comics stuff to be on her as Oracle. But other than that, anything goes! I'm less into the live action stuff, but I do have a massive soft spot for Batman Forever, and, although I haven't yet seen it, I am in theory v. pro the Birds of Prey tv series. Video game stuff is fine, though I know it less well, as are fan films, fanworks etc. :D
TL;DR I have a lot of feelings about Batpeople.

Borgen (2010-2012) [TV]
I just love how strongly Borgen is centred on the women, and would love a vid about any of them! I love Birgitte and Katrine, and would also love to see a vid about Hanne or Laura. A vid about multiple women bringing in people like Pia and Sanne would also be great - I LOVE LOVE LOVE that bit in the s2 finale when Birgitte's making her speech and we see all the other women, whether they're friends or foes, nodding along to it. Or a vid focusing on the relationships between the main women - I really loved Hanne mentoring Katrine, for example. I don't really have any ships for this show (though I did like Birgitte and Jeremy together in s3), but femslash is pretty much always good. :D I also enjoyed the platonic relationships between Birgitte and Bent, and (most of the time) Birgitte and Kasper - there's this one moment where someone says something stupid and he gets this look on his face like "now I am going to get to watch Birgitte CRUSH YOU and it's going to be AMAZING" which I just loved. :D
The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot [Web]
This just delights my heart. WHAT GOOD HUMANS THEY ALL ARE. ♥ I really love its mixture of affection and silliness and would love to see something that reflects that! If you want to supplement this with some outside source, that's fine - I feel like Peter Davison's Gallifrey One videos are in a similar spirit - but I'd really appreciate it if you didn't use anything War Doctor/John Hurt/Night of the Doctor related.

The Sapphires (2012) [Movie]
Basically anything centred on the women here would be GREAT. I'd be happy with anything from fluffy girl group fun to an exploration of the film's engagement with race and the Stolen Generation: I love both aspects of the film and the way it's able to combine them.
Scott & Bailey [TV]
I pretty much feel the same about Scott and Bailey as I do about Borgen: anything centring on the women would be excellent! I love Janet, Rachel, Gill and Julie, so a vid about any of them, or any combination of them (shippy or platonic) would be awesome. I fell in love with the show with this scene, which sums up a lot of what I love about the women of this show and the matter of fact way they support each other.

Supergirl (2015) [TV]
At the time of writing, I've only seen the pilot, but I am completely in love with it and its hopeful, optimistic tone. I ADORE Kara herself, and I have a lot of feelings about the fact that she's allowed to be both girly and powerful. ♥ I like Cat, too, and Alex (sisterly relationships are so great), and Jimmy, and I am determined to love Lucy when we meet her. Shipwise I am planning to ship Kara/Lucy on general principles, could probably be persuaded by Kara/Cat, and have so far enjoyed Kara/Jimmy more than I usually do for canon het ships. One thing I've really liked about the show and the publicity around it so far is the way that Kara is being explicitly positioned as a hero for women and, especially, girls, so if you wanted to do something with that (maybe incorporating behind the scenes/publicity stuff, if you want to), I would definitely be on board! Which brings us to outside source: if you want to include this, feel free! Comics Supergirls (I particularly love her appearances in Steph's Batgirl series - that's Batgirl (vol 3, 2009) issues #14 and #23.), animated Supergirls (I'm not a HUGE fan of Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, but Kara training with the Amazons is A+), other live-action Supergirls (I only know the one from the 1984 film, which I'm very fond of, but others are good too!), fanart etc Supergirls, they are all great. :D

Vixen (2015) [Web]
I loooooove Mari and will love anything you choose to do with her! I thought this series of shorts gave her a really solid introduction, and would love to see anything that plays with that, or that looks at the hero she'll grow into being. ♥ Fine to use pretty much any outside source here, though with the caveat that I don't watch Arrow or Flash, so I'd prefer not TOO much from either of them, though some is ok!
