First of all, thank you for making me a vid! I am sure I will love it. ♥ I've written a few things under the cuts below about what I like in vids, and about the fandoms I've requested (in some cases slightly expanded from my optional details), but feel free to ignore it all and just vid the vid you are happiest with! Basically more vids in any of these fandoms will make me happy.
Comedy/humour vids often don't work for me, because my brain is weird, but other than that, anything goes! (Critique vids are definitely OK if that's what you want to make.) Some things I particularly like:
I never think to ask for shippy vids, but I do like them: I am basically a multishipper and willing to be convinced by almost any (non-incestuous) pairing you choose to throw at me. Crossover vids are cool too, my tags and my tumblr should give you an idea of the sort of things I am familiar with.
(I also have a sporadically-used vid recs tag, if you're looking for more info on the sort of vids I like.)
Music wise... I am terrible at music so I don't have any suggestions! Sorry. But on the plus side, whatever you use, I'll probably be happy with it! Also, don't worry about using songs that have been used a lot before, I'm always interested to see different vids to the same song, and also often songs that are used a lot are ones I really like. (The only song I really dislike is Big Yellow Taxi, so please avoid that one if you can!)
Babylon 5
What I really love about this series is that it's a grand epic narrative, in SPACE, so I would love to see something epic and space-y. ;) Character studies would also be cool; you basically can't go wrong with any of the women (especially Ivanova and/or Delenn), or with G'Kar.
Doctor Who (1996)
♥ Eight ♥ Eight is one of my favourite Doctors, so I'd love to see something focusing on him, but I love Grace and Chang Lee too, so things with them in are great too. (If you are the sort of vidder who enjoys doing constructed reality type things and you want to do some kind of "further adventures" thing, that would be awesome. I really love all the spinoff companions, especially Fitz, Anji, Izzy and Fey, so involving them would be cool, but no worries if this doesn't sound like your thing.) (ETA I would really prefer it if you didn't use Night of the Doctor footage if at all possible though, please! ♥)
Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World
Anything in this fandom is great! I love all the swoopy sailing shots, and I also love all the characters. (I have read and loved quite a lot of the books too, this piece of information may not be important, but just in case, here it is.)
Press Gang
LYNDA DAY, SNARKY JOURNALIST QUEEN. Um, yes, obviously I love Lynda the most (and ship her and Spike a whole lot), but again, any vid in this fandom is great.
The Sapphires (2012)
Please don't focus too much on Dave, but apart from that, any vid about this film would make me happy!
Swallows and Amazons (1974)
ADVENTURE! JOY! :D I haven't seen the 1984 tv adaptation of Coot Club/The Big Six, but if you want to use footage from there too, that's fine by me!
Ultraviolet (TV)
So this fandom is basically the exception to that thing above where I said I liked vids about wonder and joy. ;) Though if you can make a vid like that about Ultraviolet, I would love to see it! Otherwise, a character study vid for Angie or Vaughn would be great - or for any of them really, but especially those two. Or something ensembley and slightly apocalyptic would be great too!
Wonder Woman (2009)
I have an awful lot of feelings about Diana of Themyscira. ♥ (Also, using footage from any other DC animated stuff is fine by me!)

I think that's all the things I wanted to/ought to say (though I might come back and try and say some more things about what I like about my fandoms, as on reading it back I don't appear to have said much that's particularly helpful, whoops). YAY FESTIVIDS!

- Fast cuts on the beat.
- Spaaaaace. Or more generally, swoopy epicness! (I also like stuff with boats and sailing in it a whole lot too, for similar swoopiness related reasons.)
