Thursday, 23 August 2007 14:36And another thing! We never found out what Saxon's henchperson told Martha's mum about the Doctor. It is only a little thing but I was curious. And now I am irrationally annoyed.
So anyway. I am a bit fed up of the Tenth Doctor. Finding it hard to summon up enthusiasm for next season - I like Donna and am looking forward to a companion who will stand up to the Doctor and take him down a peg or two... but this is exactly what I was thinking after Smith and Jones so I no longer have any faith that it will actually happen. I would like a new doctor please, preferrably played by Helen Mirren. She would have Martha and Jack Davenport (possibly playing some kind of space pilot from the future) as her companions and they would zoom through time and space saving the day in a cheerfully anarchic fashion, righting wrongs and being awesomely sarcastic wherever they went. There would be no anst at all and it would be wonderful. If Helen Mirren is not available Alexander Siddig is my second choice. Or James Darcy. What do you mean, I've spent too much time thinking about this?

Date: 24 Aug 2007 04:44 (UTC)I can also imagine Jack Davenport, James Nesbitt (I've got him on the brain since I just finished watching Jekyll) and Dexter Fletcher in the role, if we're going for a list of folks who have worked with the Moff.
