May your 2012 reading be as grand as 2011 and filled with loads of great books! ^-^

Holy crow, woman, you read a lot of books! I wasn't feeling great about this year's count for myself, but not too terrible about it either - 32 - and then I saw this, haha.

It's interesting that I have quite a few other of these books, just never read them yet - Half of a Yellow Sun I bought four years ago, How To Suppress Women's Writing I bought this year, etc. I have far too many unread books!

I will give myself brownie points for the Mariama Ba - I was thinking and thinking, did I read that? I think I read that! I looked it up and, duh, yes I have read it - as Une Si Longue Lettre, the original French, in a university French literature class many years ago (I am old). I still have it upstairs. :)

I've been intending to read Kavalier and Clay; I've enjoyed Chabon's books so far. Thank you for those recs. [notes in to-read book]
