Thoughts on this week's Doctor Who!
Saturday, 24 September 2011 22:26- Second episode this half-season which has focused on a father-son relationship, with the mother conveniently absent, I notice.
- ...really? Killing off both black characters and having them be the only secondary characters who died? REALLY?
- Craig killed the Cybermen with LOVE. Right. I am very cynical about that sort of resolution anyway (presumeably because my heart is black and twisted, or something), but even more so when you try to apply it to the Cybermen, given just how many people have been cyberconverted over the years. Obviously they just didn't love anyone enough!
- Not sure how I feel about the Pondly appearances, largely because I am basically a bit :| about their entire storyline this half-season.
- PLEASE can we stop mythologising the Doctor? That was irritating.
- I don't know how I feel about the cliffhanger yet - I think it will depend on what happens next week. :/
- Eleventy I love your FACE. Especially when your face is merrily misunderstanding social codes.
- STORMAGEDDON.
- I was worried that the joke with the Doctor understanding babies might wear a bit thin, BUT NO.
- NAME BADGE. WITH HIS NAME ON.
- Eleven should just hang out with babies/tiny children ALL THE TIME.
- Basically all the comedy bits I completely loved. ♥
Also recently I watched St Trinian's (the 2007 one), which was great fun, full of anarchic glee, and had an excellent cast of marvellousness. (I do feel the need to point out that Cheltenham Ladies' College has green uniforms, not blue, but this is because I am a Known Pedant.) :D

But I mostly didn't think much of it 'cos I'm not a Corden fan.

Date: 3 Oct 2011 10:35 (UTC)That was definitely the best bit! STORMAGEDDON, DARK LORD OF ALL. :D :D :D
I'm not usually a Corden fan either, but for some reason I've really enjoyed both his episodes. Maybe it's the way he bounces off Matt Smith?

Date: 3 Oct 2011 11:20 (UTC):D I actually thought it was cute that the Doctor can speak Baby - and I'm not even that keen on babies...
Surely it'd be more accurate to say Matt bounced off Corden? *shrugs* I don't know, I just didn't find Craig very interesting either time.
