Woe, I can't get into Snarkfest today, what am I supposed to do all evening?

After two years of having a free account, I have finally got a paid one. (Why did I wait so long? Goodness knows. I assume I had reasons.) So to celebrate, I mucked about with my layout and made a new header, of which I am embarrassingly proud. There is a tiny flaw in it though which I will have to correct at some point. I will not say where and hope no-one notices! It is very grey though, I hope it is not gloomy. Look! Look at Zoe and Jamie and their happy faces! Anyway, I am also busily uploaded all the icons and such I had saved for a rainy day. So many icon spaces! Joy.

Speaking of joy, I got my first set of Wearable Sculpture earrings the other day. I got two little pairs instead of one big one, which was cool - as exciting as a dramatic pair would be, I think I'll wear these more. Sadly I have not got one of those new fangled "digital cameras" that the youth of today is so keen on so I can't post pictures, but trust me, they're lovely! One pair was a bit like these but with darker blue, faceted beads (same style as the clear beads above and below, but bigger) instead of the pale blue ones. Can't find a picture that's like the other pair, but they're quite simple - two little pearls in different shades of green on a straight bit of wire with some more wire curling round them and ending in a sort of flat spiral. I fail at descriptions but they are very nice.

Walking to S'n'W was a rather more perilous experience than expected last night, there was a flash flood on Whiteladies Road (opposite the BBC buildings) and the pavements were about ankle deep in water so we had to trespass on the BBC's bit of grass and someone else's car park, scrambling over a wall in between very intrepidly. Worth it though! Oh and I got a parcel from ebay today with 15 pairs of circular needles in different sizes. Hurray!

Fancy new livejournal there! If you want, you can have my old digital camera - it's not amazing but I found it pretty good, if you look at my Germany pics on Facebook it took all of them! Not that I'm undermining your "classic" camera obviously - just thought you might want it for showing off shiny things purposes :)

Okie dokie... do you want it before Devon? If so I can post it off... or you could come and see us of course! Then I can hand deliver it! You know there's nout as fun as a weekend in the sunny(!) north east! Enjoy your doctor fix tonight - don't tell me what happens until the repeat's been though! xxx

An old man writes - hhmmm dark grey text on fractionally less dark grey and a cursor that can't quite be seen, interesting choice. Or is this just Windows ME at its best?

PS the picture of Patrick Troughton (aka to me as the new Doctor) is fairly nice though

It's much better on the XP thingie downstairs which, on rare occasions, I'm allowed to use...
