MORE SJA SQUEE. (I am pretty much All Squee All The Time about this episode, to the point of not even reading negative reactions, because they will only make me sad.)

• HOW MUCH DO I LOVE THAT SARAH AND JO SAVED THE DAY THROUGH THE SHEER AMOUNT OF AWESOME THINGS THEY'D DONE? It totally made up for the scene were Jo claimed she'd always been waiting for the Doctor to return, because it made it so so obvious that that isn't even remotely the only thing she's been doing. I can totally believe that she missed him, that she wondered if she'd ever see him again, that she wondered why he'd never visited her, and that all that got magnified by seeing him again and finding out that he'd seen Sarah after she left, so it seemed like it had been a bigger deal than it was.


• SARAH AND JO IN THE DOCTOR'S COFFIN. ♥ I wish Katy Manning had been allowed to tell us about the "funny positions" they got into filming it...


• ALL THE COMPANIONS AND THEIR BEAUTIFUL LIVES. Yes, I cried. Both times I saw it. Oh, and Sarah is talking about Harry in the past tense DDDD: I am kind of torn on this: obviously I want Harry to be alive, but I can see how it would be a bit weird for them to be talking about him as if he were, especially for Lis Sladen.


• Mr and Mrs Pond! Oh Eleventy. HONEYMOON PLANET.


• And because of Jo's marvellous, ramshackle life, she has just the thing that the Doctor needs to fix the machine. ♥


• Clyde apologising for his terrible pun! (Just like Two in "Tomb of the Cybermen" or whichever episode it was!) I can totally imagine RTD coming up with that line and going "no, self, that is a dreadful pun, you cannot put that in the script. OH YES I CAN! :D" ♥


• I loved Clyde's little "oh" when the Doctor claimed he could regenerate 507 times, it was hilarious. And sharing his wisdom about not being able to turn round in ventilation shafts!


• FLASHBACKS AHOY.


• "What do you mean, 'the Mona Lisa'?"


• "Shansheeth too scary. We hide." ...good idea.


• They cut Kareem's backstory in favour of MORE HUGS, didn't they? I am basically OK with that.


• Something from last episode that I have just thought of: Sarah knew who Liz was without having to ask for an explanation! And Kareem just assumed she'd know! ♥


• Also from last episode: Rani running in and hugging Haresh was a really lovely moment. "Don't you go anywhere, ever."/"Not even to the shops?"


• I laughed quite a lot at the Doctor's "yes, EVERYONE WILL KNOW WHEN I DIE!!!! ...lol j/k :D" And his wee sadface when Jo mentioned the Time Lords was just the right amount of angst.


• The first time I saw this episode, I was a bit :/ at the idea of Ten going to visit all his companions as he regenerated, but that was probably just my Ten-hate talking: the idea has rather grown on me since then.


• "He's dyslexic, but that's ok. Great swimmer!" I have mentioned my love of Eleven, right?


• I think I have said all the things now. But as soon as I hit post I will probably remember more things.


• ETA: I totally did. "They do sonic lipsticks now?" ♥

Yeah, it was a really good story, through 'I can regenerate 507 times' was sort of cheap.

The first time I saw this episode, I was a bit :/ at the idea of Ten going to visit all his companions as he regenerated, but that was probably just my Ten-hate talking: the idea has rather grown on me since then.

I think it makes it a bit better that we know he visited ALL his old companions, not just the ones he'd known with that face. Even though it means he must've taken a *ridiculously* long time to expire. ;-)

ETA: I totally did. "They do sonic lipsticks now?" ♥

It would totally not surprise me if the Doctor snuck one into Jo's bag when she wasn't looking and she'll find it on the plane. *g*
