2) It's Spooks time of year again! I thought I would try a liveblog type thing, unfortunately this means that the internet is at my fingertips and I am therefore not concentrating on the actual episode quite so much as I might have been. OH WELL.
- THE SOUND ON MY DIGIBOX DIED AND I MISSED HARRY PROPOSING TO RUTH. DISAPPROVE.
- (Also in the department of DISAPPROVE, something I read claimed that it was Harry who quoted Beckett, when actually it was Ruth, because she is great.)
- Wow, Harry does not mess around, does he? Cross him and bam, dead before the credits.
- Lucas bit a bad guy! Is it weird that I am terribly amused by this?
- "Private contractor." ♥ Also: "You'll do exactly as I tell you."/"...I just saved your life!" GO BETH GO. Can we keep her? (Note: I know we are getting new characters, but I have forgotten who they are going to be. *later* You know, if I'd recognised her as Sophia Myles and not just spent ages going "she looks an awful lot like Sophia Myles" I might have realised earlier that she was probably sticking around. *headdesk*)
- I am not entirely sure that is how IP tracking works. Never mind! I am not really watching Spooks for the realism tbqh.
- True, Ruth, it has worked out, but about twenty minutes earlier than usual. HMMMM. Could there possibly be MORE PLOT to come?
- Hello, obligatory CIVILIANS IN DANGER shots! Lady in pink! Small child! Bus! Funny how it is never raining in these situations.
- "Is it all just maths, Ruth?"/"You know, I think some times it is." ♥ Ruth. This whole scene - she doesn't believe in sugarcoating things, she deals with things as they are, not as she wants them to be.
- Lucas is foisting Beth upon Ruth! Does this mean it is FEMSLASH TIME? *hopes*
- Lucas's name is really John?! *gasp*

Nicola Walker was amazing. Ruth is amazing, and possibly the only actually grown up character in the entire show.

And Iain Glen!! Is his Vaughn going to be less nasty than his Slade was? (Why YES I am now playing 6 Degrees of Law & Order: UK, as well as 6 Degrees of Doctor Who *waves to Reinette*)

I always have to look Iain Glen up and I am always surprised when he turns out to have been in EVERYTHING. :D And yay for Reinette! I was so pleased when I worked out that she was, in fact, Sophia Myles.
