DW: Gridlock
Sunday, 15 April 2007 20:00Missed Gridlock last night due to flatwarmingness but have just seen the BBC3 repeat.
That's my doctor! He barely knows Martha but he's still going to save the hell out of her. Oh that was glorious. It's a good thing I was watching it on my own because between Gallifrey and dead New Earth and the face of Boe there was much sobbing. But as well as that there was so much joy in that scene of all the cars breaking free an driving up to the surface; it was all wonderfully done and all through I felt exactly as I was supposed to. Giant crabs! Awesome and terrifying. Now I want to hear the Macra Terror. The effects were wonderful in this episode, and the cityscape was gorgeous. The last scene was just beautiful (and yes, led to more sobbing). I loved the Doctor's journey from car to car, very inventive and visually rich. Also, kitties! My favourite episode in a long time.
