Merlin was proper good this week, I thought. HOWEVER. I have had it up to here with people almost but not quite finding out about Merlin's powers. And I am not sure I can take any more of Merlin lying to people for his their own good. If we get to the end of the season with Gaius still being the only regular cast member knowing the truth, I shall... make an annoyed post here, you see if I don't. Actually, I think I like this episode more if I assume that Arthur knows or at least suspects about Merlin, and all his "what would you know about magic?"/"maybe magic isn't evil after all"/"magic is DEFFO EVIL, amirite?" was at least partly intended to needle Merlin into telling him the truth. Also, I choose to believe that Arthur didn't entirely believe Merlin's lies at the end, he just used it as an excuse not to kill Uther. Shush you, I can make up my own canon if I like.

I was also a little cheesed off at the whole "lol a girl doing fightings" reaction to Morgause (whose name it seems I have been pronouncing wrongly all these years, whoops) because, hello, you all have met Morgana ever, yes? But other than that she was WINLY WIN and I hope we see lots more of her and she doesn't die. YES.

(I did not watch The Waters of Mars; I find it much easier to be zen about New Who if I don't watch too much of it, also I cannot stand Ten. I watched The Sontaran Experiment instead, which was not that great but anything featuring the Four-Sarah-Harry team is A-OK by me.)

I worked on Saturday (and also ended up doing the late shift on Friday night), which was actually quite good as it was blowing a gale and tipping down with rain, so it was nice to be somewhere warm and dry. And when I arrived on Saturday morning there was a Mysterious Amazon Parcel waiting for me. "Strange," I mused, "I don't remember ordering anything. Am I maybe ordering things in my sleep now? That is not good." But it wasn't that - it was in fact a present from [livejournal.com profile] sparra and Mr. [livejournal.com profile] sparra (squee, thank you!)! So that was a v. cheering way to start the day. And then I checked my email and found my invitation to the Archive of Our Own had arrived! (I was 18th in the queue, hence the speediness.) I haven't done much with it yet apart from upload my fics and look around a bit, but it is so pretty and user friendly and well organised! I LOVE IT.

I feel you on the Merlin front. I'd really like to see at least someone else find out, and Morgana fucking deserves to know and would be ideal. I was really hoping they'd FINALLY opened the door for that. I mean, Arthur going, "Maybe not all magic users are ebil" was such a good move. It wouldn't mean Merlin should go LOL GUESS WHAT!! but at least it was some much needed character development. I'm very emo they redacted it. It makes it feel like a cheesy do-over kiddie show when that happens, sigh.

I have also been saying Morgause wrong. Chances are unless they start spelling it Morgoes, I will continue to mentally say it wrong, too, ahahaha.

I don't like Ten either (and have yet to see the latest ep tonight). I much preferred Nine, and have hopes for Eleven and the absence of RT bloody D. I saw the Sontaran Experiment recently, and have bought the other Sontaran ones (I like the spuds). I love Four most of all, and am quite fond of Fivey too, though I haven't seen a lot. Sarah Jane rocks then and now. :-)

Yay for the Archive or Our Own! I'm there too, but I have yet to load anything up. I'm not sure how well it will handle lots of stories, so I may just load the longer ones.

I have the Time Warrior! I spend the Whitcoulls vouchers I get for doing surveys on DW serials. Since we joined a DVD online hire place though, we have soooo much else to watch as well. But I do want to see that. The specials on The Sontaran Experiment were excellent and included excerpts from that.

I'd also like to see a lot more of Seven and Ace, while people keep telling me I should be watching Two as well. :-)
