tumbling

I made myself a tumblr! (usually hats) I have been a bit "get off my lawn" about tumblr in the past but then I actually thought about it and it conjured up visions of pictures and videos and links and posts, cascading across the internet from person to person like dominoes, or strawberries in a hanging basket, and now I rather like the idea. Now I need to find some to follow; any recs? I know some of you have tumblrs also - if you could link me to them that would be great! ♥

That is... pretty much all that has happened in my life recently (apart from Stitch 'n' Witch at amicu's last night, which was lovely) - it has been hot and sunny, so I have been sitting outside in a deckchair with a book. Bliss.

I'm not entirely sure I do, either, but I'm thinking of it as being sort of like a notice board where I can collect pictures and articles and recipes and what-have-you that I like, and where I can look at other people's notice boards and snag things I like from them and so on. Does that make sense? It's how I'm planning to use it, anyway!

And how's that different from LJ, Dreamwidth, Blogger, et al?

I suppose because it's more immediate? Like, I can see something I like, go "ooh, that is nice!" and post it straight away. And it's not really set up for commenting, as far as I can tell, so it's a bit more casual - it's really just liking things and passing them on, sort of thing.

Since it's not set up for commenting that makes it even less useful, to me, than LJ, etc.
