I have been rewatching more Leverage! Here are some more lists of things (I hesitate to call them reviews as there is not much in the way of analysis), these ones are about "The Bank Shot Job" and "The Stork Job".

The Bank Shot Job

I am pleased to see that Nate has seen another opportunity for millinery and grabbed it with both hands.

"Took more than an hour to torrent the latest episode of Doctor Who."/"Hey! Illegal downloading's wrong!"

DO NOT CROSS THIS WOMAN, SHE HAS FIRE:

"I just wish we could do more than just bankrupt that corrupt son of a bitch." Oh, Eliot, be careful what you wish for.

OH PARKER. She's just so irritated at how inept the robbers are! It offends her sense of professionalism. ALSO HER FACE IS GREAT.

"Where are you getting that bullhockey from?" Hardison is AMAZING.

"Probably shouldn't mention the book again. Or propellers." Parker and Hardison are AMAZING.

"I'm a thief."/"...OK. I'm not sure what to do with that."

"Parker, have you ever robbed a bank that's being [or possibly been] robbed?" Oh, Nate knows just how to hook her!

If there is anyone who can stall for forty-five minutes, it is Hardison. "You stay. We need to talk about Hall and Oates." He has all the police running around after him and looking up to hime, it is so great.

"Yeah, cos meth heads are so punctual." Eliot makes an excellent point.

It cracks me up how irritated Eliot gets at that one guy who won't stay in the car! (I identify with his constant state of vague grumpiness quite a lot, btw.) He has this look on his face like "I will TURN THIS FIGHT AROUND and we will all go STRAIGHT BACK HOME if you kids don't SETTLE DOWN."

"And give up my leverage?" Nate's "hey, he stole my line!" face is priceless.

HARDISON FTW. This is always true but in particular I am referring to the masterly way he walks in and turns the situation on its head.

"You ever seen Dog Day Afternoon? Write that down."

Aw, yay for Frank standing up for himself! And everyone getting their revenge.

"You're still a geek."/"Age of the geek, baby, stay strong." You know, I was just thinking the other day that we don't see much interaction between Sophie and Hardison, and then here comes this lovely, if tiny, moment.

"Damn, we're good." That you are.

Sophie is so proud of Parker's fledgling grifting skills!

The Stork Job

I feel I should mention that I am a little :/ at the Serbian war orphans element of this episode. I think it's just too... big of a subject for them to tackle, and it does sit a little uneasily with the lols later on. I'm glad that they do raise the issue of how ethical it is to kidnap Luka for the Nice American Couple who want to adopt him, but I would have liked some more discussion of that - it's a big, nuanced issue and they barely scratch the surface of it. All that said, I do still love the episode, just wanted to say something about it before I get on with the squee.

Hee, of course Sophie wants to stop off in Paris!

Eliot: "It's never stopped me before!" Parker: *is unimpressed*

"I still have that tiara, though."

Aw, poor Hardison, complaining about being stuck behind the scenes!

I like the Nate/Sophie stuff a lot more when it is just them snarking at a) each other and b) everyone else.

Can't watch Eliot failing at flirting, too embarrassing, but LOL at Sophie giving him pointers!

OH SOPHIE. "I would never."

"No, Parker, sleeping is not a hobby."

"If you're done with your delightful banter, I've got some actual useful information." ♥ Hardison!

OH PARKER. I am so glad she stabbed that guy with a fork, he absolutely had it coming.

I love that everyone's reaction to "now we steal a movie!" is "...sigh. Of course we do."

Heeeeee, Nate the director!

And of course Hardison is doing the effects. HE LOVES HIS JOB, YOU GUYS.

"Little more than a team." ♥

My notes here read: BEAUTIFUL. This is one of the bits that made me watch Leverage in the first place; I saw it in this vid and just went "what is going on there I must see MORE."

Ha, I love how unimpressed everyone is by Sophie's description of their skills. Also their reactions to Nate bottling telling Sophie how bad her acting is are brilliant.
