1.) Law and Order was great again last night. &RONNIE; I LOVE HIM THE MOSTEST. Especially that scene where he started shouting at James, then looked over at Matt (who was standing in the corner all "I HAVE BROKEN EVERYTHING DDDD:") and visibly reined himself in. Another good thing about this episode: the high number of women in secondary roles, most of which could easily have been default-male type parts. Well done, show! I shall miss you. When are you coming back?

2.) Also great (and often hilarious) last night: Nurse Jackie! SPYDADDY WAS IN IT! I really hope the finale next week is good, because this is rapidly becoming one of my favourite programmes.

3.) Not on last night, and sadly not particularly great, either: The Invisible Enemy. I thought it started out ok (the "contact has been made" thing was creepy the first few times), but then it descended into the realms of SCIENCE DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT. (There's an antibody! In Leela's blood! That for some reason neither Marius nor the Doctor spotted before, despite both being Quite Good At Science! And it is somehow linked to her intuition! ...what? Not to mention the clone!Doctor hurting when clone!Leela kicked bits of the real!Doctor's brain, how did that work? And when the clones went pop, why were Leela's hair, bracelets and knife (but not her clothes) left in a little pile in the Doctor's brain? I will stop now or else we shall be here all day.) Also, I thought the Nucleus costume was pretty silly when it was inside the Doctor's brain, but then it emerged into the outside world as a GIANT IRIDESCENT PRAWN ON WHEELS. I have a fairly high tolerance for rubbish effects, but even so... On the positive side, I did like Professor Marius, he was lovely, and he gave them K-9! I was worried they were just going to pinch him, or that Marius was going to die, and that would've been sad. Leela's obvious affection for K-9 made me v. happy, though overall I didn't think she was as well served by this story as by some of the previous ones.

I was very glad I didn't start watching the Four & Leela stories with The Invisible Enemy or I'd have given up on Leela there and then (not her fault, but as you say, the story doesn't serve her well). I've a high tolerance for silliness in Who, but that was beyond the pale!

I ♥ Ronnie like WHoA! He's such a great character, and he was *brilliant* in that one. I loved it when he went all "Let's do it *my* way this time" on them!

The Invisible Enemy is a bit "oh dear", really - not exactly Doctor Who's finest hour. The Nucleus honestly is completely awful in a way that's pretty difficult to ignore. Oh well, at least you've got lovely and a bit scary Image of the Fendahl (what a great title that is) next!
