Friday, 17 February 2006 22:43So I finally got around to seeing Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, woo! It was pretty good and funny (though not as funny as
cleolinda's parody), despite the fact that David Thewlis and Gary Oldman were Horribly Miscast*. I liked the Harry/Hermione friendship bits, mainly cos I am a sucker for friendship on film, which is why I liked early Buffy and Angel best of all. On Tuesday I also watched the BBC Shakespeare Re-Told version of Macbeth and the thing that got to me the most was the destruction of Banquo and Macbeth's friendship. I also liked the little moments of dialogue that echoed the play's dialogue, though I'm sure I missed many of them, and the dustmen/witches.
And! Today I saw the Battlestar Galactica miniseries (at laaaaaaaaaaaaaast!) and it was fantastic! Why have no terrestial channels bought it, harrumph? So many things I loved, especially the ending. And yes, after I'd watched it I went back and found the tiny little Firefly flying overhead, because I am an enormous geek.
Am busy collating the PGCE surveys at work. So many tallies! So many tick boxes! I fear my head may explode, which would be a Bad Thing.
*Alan Rickman is also of course Horribly Miscast, however he amuseth me muchly and therefore can stay.
