"would you like to see an equation?"

I have gone to visit my family for the weekend but they are all watching football, something which interests me not at all, so I shall have another listen to Caerdroia instead, and type things at the same time.
- The Charley and C'rizz snark tag-team is great, I am liking Charley again (having gone off her for a bit) and warming to C'rizz. Them cooing over the sleeping Doctor is adorable.
- "Oh well, brief but glorious." India Fisher's delivery of that was spot on.
- AHAHA, I can't believe the Kro'ka fell for the old "will"/"won't"/"won't"/"will - ack!" trick.
- Very good sound design here; after all the sound and fury, Eight's "got you" sounded like it came from right in the middle of my head.
- All the things in the Doctor's mind: a scrap of cheese! A carnival fun slide! THE PIT. A croquet court!
- The Doctor baffling an increasingly infuriated Kro'ka, I love it when he does things like that: "Don't be ridiculous!"
"I've tried to but I just can't stop. Maybe I should join a twelve step program."
"Must you keep babbling?"
"Now that's an existential question, Kro'ka."
- The Doctor threatening the Kro'ka reminds me of the bit with the gun in the TV Movie where he threatens to shoot himself. Nice characterisation!
- I love the name Caerdroia and its meaning - the fortress of many turnings. I have renamed my study Caerdroia, for no good reason.
- "I mean, houses aren't safe, look at the three little pigs."
- "I thought we were taller. I mean, I've looked in mirrors, but they're misleading..." Is Tigger!Doctor maybe stoned? He also seems to have a slightly different accent to the other two at first.
- OH THE WHOLE BIT WITH THE COWS ♥
"They followed us."
"With unknown intent."
- Exasperated is my favourite Charley-mood.
- C'Rizz and Tigger!Doctor are great. [through gritted teeth] "I'm very happy for you."
- "I don't think you can have a veneer over a cauldron." Oh, Charley.
- Logic!Eight dealing with bureaucracy (and its attendant lack of logic) is hilarious. "Oh, I'm sorry, I thought that was rhetorical/metaphysical."
- C'rizz's cageyness on the subject of the obelat cracks me up. Conrad Westmaas is doing a great job in this play.
- "I'll just go over here while you two trade clichés." But other than this part three is more plot and less squee, sadly.
- Ooo, a mention of Rassilon! In retrospect this is A Clue. Also all that stuff about Tigger!Eight's sense of decency not allowing him to harm the Kro'ka, foreshadowing, yes?
- "I may talk like a fool, but I always know what I'm talking like a fool about" - that's a great summary of the Doctor!
- Ooo, yay, another Charley 'n' C'rizz scene! And bonus points for addressing Charley's feelings about the Doctor, they've been rather swept under the rug recently. "Support, C'rizz!" Though Charley is being surprisingly dense about the string.
- Re: what nasty!Doctor does to the Kro'ka - I love that he is capable of this sort of thing (see also amnesiac!Doctor's occasional violent tendencies in the EDAs) but his conscience stops him, that he's the good guy because he chooses to be, all the time, not because of some inherent virtue that makes him special. He's a hero because of his actions, but his deeds aren't automatically heroic just because it's him that's doing them.
- UNEXPECTED RASSILON. The first time I heard this, it made me sit up straight in surprise. Also my jaw dropped - I thought that was just an expression! Don Warrington's voice is brilliant.
- One minor complaint with this audio is that C'rizz's reaction to seeing the TARDIS interior is a bit of a non-event. I suppose there are only so many ways you can do "it's bigger on the inside!!11!!!1" though, and Charley's enthusiasm is rather nice, as is her and the Doctor's delight at the idea of a new universe to play in.
Um. In case you couldn't tell, I enjoyed that rather a lot. :) And the football is still going on, sigh.
