"turlough's having some absinthe"
Saturday, 3 May 2008 20:22This is actually a post about The Poison Sky. The subject line will be explained soon, honest.
Again I was faintly bored by this, I'm afraid. I did want to like it, as I am currently listening to the Five Doctors commentary, which is putting me in a very good mood, with Helen Raynor (and David Tennant and Phil Collinson) and she seems very nice. This be where the subject line is from. ("That's the clipboard of Rassilon!" Heeeee.)
Just a few thoughts:
- I had a feeling last week that Ross might be doomed. But I am still a bit sad about it.
- There weren't many women in new UNIT, were there? Just Captain wotshername, and I think I spotted another female soldier getting gunned down by the Sontarans at one point. Disappointing.
- Isn't it great that Martha's got past that thing she had in her first episode where she was so focused on what other people needed, not what she wanted? OH WAIT.
- Please, no more speeches, from anyone! Also a moratorium on the Doctor telling people he's sorry, so sorry, would be good.
- I did like the idea that the Sontarans were terraforming Earth for a clone breeding ground, that was pretty nifty and made sense.
- Oh and the Rose appearance was cool too, actually. Nice moment of "woah, did I just see that? How'd that happen?"
- Donna and Martha both looked v. pretty at the end there.
