killer robots of the future!

I finally got round to watching Terminator 3! I sort of had negative expectations for it, which helped me not hate it. Also I kept being distracted by the internets (they were right there!) so I didn't really watch all that much of it, heh. Obv. it is not a patch on T1, T2 or SCC.

Things I liked:

• Terminatorvision! Hurrah! Also all that Californian landscape what I associate with the Terminatorverse.


• KATE. Not that I am predictable at all or anything. But she was great! I approve of the film choosing to demonstrate her greatness by having her nick John Connor's gun and shoot him with it. Also once I did a "which Leonardo di Caprio leading lady are you?" quiz in a magazine and it told me I was Claire Danes, so I have something of a soft spot for her.


• The ending!

Things I did not like:

• NO SARAH CONNOR >:( Yeah, this bothers me a lot, because I am mostly in this franchise for Sarah.


• The film merrily killing off those children at the beginning. I just thought it was a little distasteful to do it in such a throwaway fashion.


• Quite how much the T-X was sexualised. Telescopic boobs? Licking blood to analyse the DNA? No thank you.


• I thought a lot of the "She'll be back"/"I'm back" stuff fell a little flat, which is a shame because I am usually a sucker for that sort of thing.

Now I go to finish trek_news and answer comments and such.
