I finished Worrals Flies Again last night, and it continued to be as great as the first fifty pages promised, full of excitement and twists and turns and such. I love Worrals, so brave and sensible and decisive, and oh, Frecks! I may have got something in my eye when she thought Worrals was dead. Also, thumbs up to the bit where Worrals insisted that she had to go and search the Leutnant's body, even though it was a pretty horrible prospect, because she believes that they can't talk about how women are just as capable as men if they're not willing to prove it.
No connection to the above, just something I keep forgetting to post: some Radio 4 recommendations. (Should be listenable outside the UK, I believe.)
1. Old Harry's Game is back tonight! I only started listening with the last series (on![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
the_smut_fairy's recommendation), it is very funny.
2. The Classic Serial at the moment is Scoop by Evelyn Waugh - it's been years since I read the book, but it seems like a pretty good adaptation, and again, very funny!
3. There was an interesting debate on Women's Hour on Tuesday about older women on stage and screen. By interesting I mean that some of the time I was agreeing with them and some of the time I wanted to climb into the radio and join in. Sadly this is not actually possible. But anyway, it's worth a listen.
