"Stop poking me with the invisible hand of Adam Smith"

Torchwood post! While I am waiting for "Reset" to download (ten minutes to Martha! *hugs BBC iplayer*) here are some mini thoughts about "Adam".


First and most importantly, he had an invisible hand! Twice! This must have been on purpose, right? I don't know who was responsible for that but I wish to buy them a drink.

Oh Gwen and Rhys were so cute in this episode! And then they had to ruin it with Gwen declaring her love for Jack. But at least he didn't respond in kind - I can bear one-sided Gwen/Jack, just about. I like that Gwen and Ianto are getting scenes together recently. I can't remember them having any in series 1, and it is nice.

...that may be the sum total of my thoughts. I was a bit "meh" about this episode, to be honest. It had some nice stuff, some not so great stuff, but nothing that really made me go YAY or OHNOES. Oh well, three and a half minutes to "Reset" now.

I was at my parents' house last night. Mummy has BBC3, so there was much rejoicing, I loved Reset. Do you happen to know if the last scene was a permanent cast change or if they're going to do that "only kidding, we just made that unhappen" thing that scifi is occasionally overly fond of?

Also: Jack's worst repressed memory was the fact that he'd spent his childhood in a suburb on Tattooine? Heeee!

It was very spiffy. I don't know for sure but I'm assuming the cast change is not permanent - Martha is only sticking around for two more episodes, unless the BBC have been telling LIES.
