Possibly not of interest to anyone but me, what with it being widescreen and featuring only my favourite companions, but I'm quite proud of it, so I thought I'd share. (also, if anyone fancies a version in a different size/colour/with different companions, give me a shout and I will have a go. Help me alleviate my guilt about all the companions I had to leave out!)
Other things I did at the weekend: saw Indiana Jones! I loved it quite a bit. It was lots of fun, first of all, which is what I like in a film. It also felt like the previous films without being a carbon-copy of them, and the fifties setting worked very well. (The nuclear test village was creepy, as was the scene in the tomb.) The fight in the diner cracked me up, and the motorcycle chase was great too. And Marion was so wonderful! I loved her smug face when she drove the boatcar off the cliff and into the river, and her gooey expression at Indy's "they weren't you". And speaking of that scene in the truck, Shia LaBoeuf's LOL WHAT face was marvellous. And the guard telling them to shut up! Hee. And there was a sword fight! They really know how to make me happy. My favourite line: "they've got us seeing Communists in our soup!" It was so random, it really tickled me. And on the way to the cinema I stumbled into a second-hand bookshop and emerged clutching four Dr Who books, because I don't have enough of them already *sigh*.
And then there was a Eurovision party, at my parents' house since they are in France, with school friends and UNEXPECTED SISTER, which is always nice. The songs were much fun, the voting not so much. Bosnia-Herzogovina's knitted grannies were a highlight, as were the Latvian pirates and whichever one it was that started off with all the men in a box (Armenia?). But I don't think Russia deserved to win - their song wasn't bad, just a bit blah, though it did have ice skating man who looked a bit like Owen Wilson. I had Georgia and Germany in the sweetstake, so I knew before the voting began that there would be no sweets for me, again, neither song was that bad, though Germany were out of tune, or key, or something, and given how little ear I have for music if I can tell that there's something amiss, then it must be pretty wrong. But neither were particularly memorable either. I didn't think that we (the UK) deserved to be last either, it was quite a good song, especially compared to some of the things we've fielded in previous years. Anyway, never mind, there was chocolate and pringles and wine and a good time was had by all.
Apologies if I am making even less sense than usual. My brain is still a bit fuzzy from my cold and there are approximately 8694067 people in the library all of whom want things. And my coding kept going wrong. :(
