Christmas!

First of all, a very belated but heartfelt thank you to vandonovan for the card! (it actually arrived ages ago but I am fail...) The Two-Jamie-Avon-Vila picture on the front is very very shiny indeed, and the little TARDIS and Orac one on the back made me giggle. Yay!

Christmas chez Jenni has involved the following things:

- going back to Cheltenham for a Family Based Christmas thing, and consequently getting waaay behind with ye internet. (I still have a half-finished Spooks reaction post lying around somewhere...)

- getting a talking Cyberman pen from one of my secret santas so now I can creep up behind people and inform them that they will be upgraded or they will be deleted. Yay!

- trying and failing to buy mincemeat on Christmas Eve. And on the way back I accidentally fell into the Red Cross book shop and emerged with Daniel Deronda, The Big Over Easy by Jasper Fforde and the novelisation of The Greatest Show in the Galaxy.

- making rum sauce which turned out a bit RUMTASTIC (silly me assuming that the Good Housekeeping recipe wouldn't be that boozy) so we had to put some more milk in...

- The Sister bought me The Aztecs and The Mind Robber so we shall be watching those (she admitted that the second one at least fell into the category of "things she bought in order to borrow".) But first we watched Timelash wot I rented from Lovefilm. Kate was a little disappointed that it was not a story about Time Lords going on the lash. She also commented that Paul Darrow looked a bit like Noel Fielding and moaned about how the companions are all from English speaking countries. Watching Doctor Who with my sister > watching it without her.
