Dear Festividder,

Thank you for making me a vid! I'm sure I will love whatever you make. ♥ If you already have an idea and want to just go for it, feel free - I love all these fandoms v much and would be happy with any vid in any of them - but if you would prefer more details, here they are:

• Sorry about all the blank music fields! I am just really bad at thinking of music. /o\ Stuff I like usually tends towards the female singer-songwriter type niche, but vid-wise I really don't mind what you use. (Though I really hate Big Yellow Taxi, for no readily apparent reason, so would appreciate you avoiding that. I think it's genetic, as my father hates it too.) Also, don't worry about using a song that's been vidded a lot before, I am totally ok with that, and generally like the songs that get used a lot anyway. :D


• I really love vids that are full of joy and affection and warmth; I'm not a huge fan of angst, but I'm not anti it.


• I heart swoopy shots and space and epicness. And also fast action or dance-y vids! And more thoughtful vids. And vids about how [fandom/character/theme etc] is the best!


• Character studies are great; as a general rule, you can't go wrong by picking a female character, but for most of these fandoms I basically love everyone. Also vids about teams/ensembles, or about friendship, make me happy! I do prefer gen vids but shippy ones are also fine: I ship or can be persuaded to ship most things, but tend to prefer femslash, OT3s and non-canon pairings.


• Relevant to a few of my requests: I really like fandoms with a lot of history - big diverse canons, adaptations etc. So if you want to include stuff from other iterations/other bits of canon/fandom responses etc, feel free, but obvious, please don't feel obliged to do that! I mostly mention it so that in case you really want to make that type of vid, you'll know that I am definitely on board with that. :D


Babylon 5
Something epic and space-y, maybe? Or a character study of any of the women would be awesome, especially Ivanova.

Captain Marvel v7-8 (2012-)
CAROL. I love her so much, and I really love this run, so anything you wanted to make would be awesome! Space adventures! Carol's New York family! Carol and Monica teaming up! Carol's adventures in history! I would prefer you didn't focus too heavily on the memory loss thing, but anything else would be great.

I really love the Carol/Jess relationship, whether it's shippy or not, so something focusing on that would be cool, or on Carol's relationships with other women more generally. I'm less familiar with Carol's history outside this run, but feel free to reference it/bring in her other appearances (or other appearances of her supporting cast, basically any other comics you feel you want/need to use) if you like! Likewise, if you want to use cartoons/games/external source for fan casts etc, please feel free! ETA: also, I ADORE the current Ms Marvel comic, and female legacy stuff makes me so happy, so if you wanted to do something with that, please do. :D

Doctor Who [1996]
I love Eight, with his wonder and his kindness, to a quite ridiculous extent, so anything about him would be awesome! I also really love Grace and Chang Lee so would love to see something about them. And if you want to bring in the comics (Izzy! Fey! Destrii!) or anything, that would be great, but don't feel you have to. (I would prefer it if you didn't use footage from Night of the Doctor, though.)

The Middleman
Everything about this show is great, I love how fun it is! Something about Wendy and/or Lacey would be awesome, but anything else would be great too.

Press Gang
LYNDA DAY, SNARKY JOURNALIST QUEEN. I love Lynda the most (and ship her and Spike a whole lot), but any vid in this fandom would be great.

Singin' in the Rain
I love the colour and energy of this film, and also am 10000% behind Don/Kathy/Cosmo as an OT3 if you want to make something shippy.

Swallows and Amazons (1974)
This film delights me utterly and captures the tone of the book so well: I'd love to see something with that same tone, the joy and innocence of it. <3

Yellow Submarine
This film was basically the film of my childhood and I would really love to see a vid of it! Maybe something that runs with the sheer weirdness of it?
