my instareaction to Doctor Who 6x13...
Sunday, 2 October 2011 00:06... is mostly but not completely positive. :D?
Overall: I think Moffat wins this round on points. I am still not happy with how the handling of the kidnapped baby plotline, or the way the beginning of the Doctor/River relationship was handled, but other than that I really loved it. Ponds being brilliant, amazing visuals, great lines ("Let's get a drink, and married")... just what I wanted. Dorium was great and I hope we see him again. The ultimate question being "Doctor Who?" made me laugh and laugh and laugh. And the resolution to the death of the Doctor plotline was beautifully neat, and I really hope that the Doctor retreating to the shadows sticks - as I've mentioned, I am tired of him being this epic mythological figure.
And, of course, I cried my eyes out at the tribute to Nick Courtney. It was exactly right.
