I am back! From Newcastle! Which is where I was for the weekend and a bit, visiting the sparras. We went to see Regina Spektor in Gateshead last night, which was amazing! And we also went to see Inception, which I really recommend, though with the caveat that there is a bit too much shakycam towards the beginning. I wish films would not do that, it makes me feel sick. Grr.

(Am working on the vid recs post I mentioned in my last post, it is taking a while!)

I hate shaky camera work. It's not just extremely annoying, it erects a barrier that says "You're not allowed to forget this isn't real. I'm here, filming it, see?" :-(

I saw Regina Spektor about three years ago here! She is indeed amazing, as I also said (http://vilakins.livejournal.com/292129.html). The fan vids I link to are the best I've found too.

Yes! It's meant to be more realistic but it just puts me off.

Lim's vids are wonderful. "Us" was one of the first vids I saw and it still wows me every time.

It's fantastic, but it's a bit hard to talk about without giving away too much! I'm very glad sparra suggested going to see it, otherwise I probably wouldn't have got round to it.
