Sarah Jane Adventures!
Tuesday, 2 January 2007 11:53So I watched the Sarah Jane Adventures yesterday and I loved it immensely! It was loads of fun, it was exciting, it was a good, satisfying adventure story. I liked all the characters; Maria was great and assuaged all my fears about the presence of a Child since the actress was good and the character wasn't annoying, yay! It also had a real emotional punch (poor Sarah Jane) without being all "look how angsty we are!". (I may have shed a leetal tear when I saw she had a picture of Harry on her wall but that is because I am a sap and I loves Harry, yes.) The monster effects were really good too. Hurray! And Leon off of Hex was in it. Smashing.
Off back to Bristol today. Christmas hols have gone v. quickly, woe. Oh well I am coming back to Chelt again next weekend so that's ok. Also shiny new tv wot will mean I am now able to read subtitles and make out the words on DVD menus and whatnot! And yay for lovefilm: I checked my account and under "Titles at home (two allowed)" it listed four things that it had sent me recently. Vaguely on the subject of dvds The Sister and I watched "City of Death" and she liked it muchly, she wants Duggan to be in all the episodes and is sad that there is no more Romana*. Now we are watching "Genesis of the Daleks". The geekification process continues...
Happy new year everyone! I hope 2007 is a year of wonders for y'all.
*I bought some mixed herbs the other day because they were called Romana. They were very nice.
