First of all, Leverage fans? WATCH THIS NOW. (No spoilers, many lols.)
Here is a long delayed Leverage squee post! I actually rewatched "The Two Horse Job" a fair while ago, but have only just got round to typing up my notes; as a consequence I can't entirely remember what everything I wrote actually means...
Here is a long delayed Leverage squee post! I actually rewatched "The Two Horse Job" a fair while ago, but have only just got round to typing up my notes; as a consequence I can't entirely remember what everything I wrote actually means...
- This one has HORSES in it. This is an IMPORTANT FACT which affects my views on it.
- "So when you said you knew the family, you meant... you knew the family?" Nate cuts to the essentials.
- "Scout's honour!"/"Wrong hand."
- "Don't feel her!" I love this moment so much and I cannot explain why:
- "I once saw a horse kill a clown." OH PARKER.
- Sophie to Eliot: "Oh, you are rather... hot on this one." ♥
- Oh, I love Hardison getting annoyed at them messing about! And I love how hard he's worked on his presentation. "Something visual for the visual learners, and the auditory learners, and y'all, it's just interruptions..."
- Hee hee, Sophie's accent! (NB on Sophie's accents; I am totally willing to be Watsonian about this and assume that because no-one ever questions them they must be perfect, even when I'm... not sure they are.)
- I love everyone pretending that bringing a new deck into the poker game is a Terrible Faux Pas. I also rather enjoyed the sight of everyone passing the jacks round the table to Nate. TEAM. ♥
- Aw, Eliot thanks Nate so sincerely!
- "You can't even say my name now?"/"No siree!" Aimee's cheerful tone here is brilliant.
- I have written "EVIL Nate!" in my notes here, I assume someone said it about Sterling? (HI STERLING! NICE TO SEE YOU!)
- HEE for punctuating an emotional scene with a ridiculous flashback! Oh show.
- According to my notes I enjoyed Parker's thoughts on horses at this point. Very enlightening. This is why I should type things up straight away.
- Lovely Eliot/Sophie scenelet! *ships them*
- Parker's head turns in this episode are marvellous.
- Yay for Sophie stepping up to support... someone. Eliot? I wrote "Sophie" in my notes, which is clearly wrong. Anyway, yay for that and for her calling Nate on his hypocrisy.
- "You still really don't understand what I do, do you?" Poor Hardison, I don't think that's likely to change.
- Hee, grumpy Parker. "You realise that we can still hear you?" And then her calling for Aimee later - I really like the implication that Aimee has been hanging around with them enough that Parker calls her automatically. (I also love how seriously Aimee takes her.)
- I love that Hardison just films Eliot riding away because it's easier than explaining.
- "Pony express is never late, boss." ♥_♥
- Foss is so wonderfully odious.
- "I'm glad you found a family."/"Those guys?" MY HEART.
- The coda with Sterling and Nate is really good, because Sterling's not really wrong - "suffering doesn't make you a hero."
