LJ tells me I have not posted anything for a week so I felt I should say something. Here then are some things:
First Thing: I am going to see Terry Pratchett at the Cheltenham litfest in October! Calloo, callay and so on. There are still tickets left (or there were last week) if anyone else is interesting.
Second Thing: First Great Western are not good. I wrote to them to ask for a refund on my ticket since my train to Slough (a two hour journey) was two and a quarter hours late getting there (we pulled intothe pit of despair Swindon and stayed there for two hours, with no trains running in either direction, until a rumour went up that there was a train going to Reading from the other platform and we all dashed over and got on it), and they refused as apparently it was due to a security alert and they are therefore not obligated to give any refunds. Despite the fact that their guards ran the gamut from invisible to unhelpful ("Yep, that train's definitely going straight to Slough, you won't have to change at Reading at all in any way.") Boo, says I. I shall blacken their name on the interwebs! How do you like them onions, eh?
Third Thing: I am getting a new laptop. Have decided on the one I want (and more importantly, what it shall be called) and am now just wibbling about whether to get it or not. All the while the price is going up. Ho hum.
Fourth Thing (which most people reading this will probably already know, but never mind): Sarah Jane Adventures starts on 24th September! *dances with glee*
