Festivids is live! :D And I received the most amazing Supergirl vid about the Danvers sisters, Saved The World Today. It's SO GOOD and also I cried a lot whilst watching it. SISTERS. ♥
Herein find a selection of recs for some of the other vids that I liked:
- Gonna Get Through This World (An Adventure in Space and Time) Lovely vid about Verity and Waris building Doctor Who and living their lives, as best they can. <3
- Galaxyrise (Apollo 13 and other space fandoms) Spaaaaaace! This vid is all about exploration and endeavour, and I found it really affecting despite not knowing any of the fandoms.
- Manchester (Bunheads) So gorgeous!
- Closer to Me (Fly Away Home) Lovely, uplifting vid.
- All the Great British Bake Off vids were so good! All In Together is a joy, All Rise has PUNS and HILARITY and so much warmth, and Cake to Bake is so charming and sharply edited!
- Sway (Huge) A really delicate and lovely vid about Alistair/Athena and identity. ♥
- Pick a Part That's New (Long Way Round/Down) The perfect vid about Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman riding round the world and getting into scrapes. ♥
- This Sullen Welsh Heart (Pride) Quietly beautiful and moving.
- Your Mother (Saga) This vid just blew me away. Amazing work.
- Bury Me Deep In Love (The Sapphires) Lovely, lyrical.
- Return To | Of | From (The Secret Garden) Magical!
For those who like guessing, I made two vids this year! I think they are both deeply obvious, but then I know which ones they are.
