I bought Horror of Fang Rock a few months back, mostly because I love Leela but also because I had written a Doctor Who/M*A*S*H crossover featuring Rutans using nothing but Wikipedia as a source for the critters and I wanted to know what I did wrong (imagine my surprise when the fic actually fit well with what we were given in canon). Anyway, I loved it - there's an Agatha Christie's "and then there were none" feel to the way all the characters become monster fodder, which can be tragic and senseless but at the same time works well in the context of the story and its theme. (And I'm ashamed to admit I giggled when Adelaide died, as she was getting on my nerves; ditto on when she's slapped by Leela.) And, of course, the Second Doctor fangirl in me squeed at the actors I recognized from Two's serials.
